Cancer Heroes of the Carolinas, could not have come at a better time in our lives than when they did! l asked a fellow church member if she could pass on our information to them. Our family still being “Shell Shocked“ from the cancer diagnosis, we were helped, and comforted like a warm, cozy “Linus Blanket“ that we forever will carry around with us. Please help support this local nonprofit so they can continue to provide help for families of Georgetown and Horry Counties.

Allison M.

Mother of Declan who was diagnosed 11/30/18 with Epithelioid sarcoma of the right arm.

Cancer Heroes or the Carolinas has helped our family so much; from helping us with a bill or finding a babysitter while we go to the ER. And when there wasn’t anybody else, Jennifer herself came to the ER to help with my two little ones while I was with Jayden in the ER. Cancer Heroes or the Carolinas has also provided our family with tickets to be a part of special events like the Boo Aquarium and the Monster Truck show. These events that we are able to go to are so important to Jayden, because he’s able to forget about all the sick days, procedures, and surgeries. Cancer Heroes or the Carolinas has taken the financial burden away so many times while we were in the hospital for weeks at a time. We are so thankful for them and everything they continue to do for us.

Jayden was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at just 4 years old and is now 6.

Our son, Trey, was diagnosed Lymphoma at age 11. During his chemo and radiation treatments, we always knew Jennifer was there for us. Being a cancer mom herself, she has a huge heart for helping the families of children with cancer. Thank you, Jennifer for your tireless efforts! Your generosity means the world to each family you reach out to.

Mother of Trey who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at age 11

Cancer heroes was a blessing to my family when my daughter (15) was dying of cancer. They helped me with flowers, food, financial assistance, and emotional support through that awful time in our life. I don't know what I would have done without them. They have also been there for me and my family in these times after her death. They are a wonderful organization who gives to family's who are going through such an awful time in their life. They were and are a blessing in my life.

Cancer Heroes of the Carolinas is such a wonderful organization. We received so much love and help from this organization through Jennifer for my family. Thank you so much for the love and support through our difficult time and even now as someone to talk to through the difficulties of losing my beautiful.

My 4 year old son Baxley was diagnosed with Stage 4 Rhabdomyosarcoma on March 22nd, 2019. To say our world flipped upside down would be an understatement but with the help of amazing people like Jennifer and Cancer Heroes of the Carolinas it was so much easier to process the emotions and realize that they were here to help us during this awful time. Jennifer has walked down our same path so she has become a wealth of information for us and a shoulder to cry on. We’re so appreciative that Jennifer found us!

This organization genuinely cares for kids with cancer. Jennifer knows what families go through and has dedicated this organization to help other families struggling with cancer.

I know I've said it before but thank you for the Christmas stocking with all the goodies. Tisa and I went to the theater together yesterday to watch Aladdin used our free popcorn and she ate at cold stone for the first time! All from the stocking. We needed a mommy daughter day and it was possible because of you. Thank you for all you do for us! We are truly grateful.

Our son Danny was diagnosed with Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when he was 8 years old. By the grace of God, and the help and caring of so many, including Jennifer he is thriving at the age of 13. Jennifer and Cancer Heroes of the Carolinas reached out to me in the beginning; and, was a much-needed source of support. She understood what a mom dealing with their child's diagnosis is going through. My family appreciates all the help and love received from Jennifer and her organization. From Lily Palooza to just being a phone call away - it meant the world to know someone like her cared.
